Overview

Are you looking for a new REMOTE accounting project in Kansas City AND a soccer fan? Then we have the PERFECT project for you! LHH is looking for an Accountant to support the upcoming FIFA World Cup next year!! This would be a long-term project through 2026 with potential to extend to another project the following year. This role does require you to be local to Kansas City as we would need you to report to the office in Kansas City, MO 1-2 times/week to pick up invoices, all other functions can be performed at home! Our ideal candidate will have NetSuite experience and 3+ years of Accountant experience including AR, AP, reconciliation and budget management experience; experience with an events/project-based company preferred! Key Responsibilities

  • Manage bookkeeping and prepare profit & loss statements for assigned event venues
  • Oversee event financial close processes, ensuring timely and accurate reporting
  • Support payroll operations in coordination with internal teams and systems
  • Prepare and process invoices in alignment with event budgets and contracts
  • Handle accounts payable, ensuring prompt and accurate vendor payments
  • Manage high-volume financial transactions with precision and efficiency
  • Collaborate with clients, vendors, and internal teams to resolve financial queries
  • Assist finance managers with reporting, forecasting, and ad hoc analysis
  • Utilize NetSuite for financial tracking, reporting, and reconciliation
  • Contribute to the development of financial processes for ticketing operations in the U.S. market
  • Adapt quickly to changing business needs and wear multiple hats as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in AR/AP, reconciliation, and budget management
  • MUST BE LOCAL TO KANSAS CITY and available to report to the office a few times/week
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • Experience in hospitality, vendor communication, or event site operations is a plus
  • Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Familiarity with NetSuite or similar ERP systems
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, high-performance environment
