Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $40.00/hr

The Atlantic Group has partnered with a private equity firm in the Stamford, CT area. They have an immediate need for an Accountant to join their team. This position is a full-time contract with an estimated timeframe of 3 months.

Position Overview – Accounting Analyst

The role will report to the Firm’s VP of Finance & Operations and will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely processing of invoices and invoice payments, performing vendor due diligence, reviewing and processing T&E reimbursements, and recording journal entries for the management company.

Hours: Monday to Friday – 9-6 – Onsite 5 days a week

Interview Process: 1 round video interview

Responsibilities

• Processing and coding vendor invoices accurately

• Preparing bi-weekly invoice payment-runs via ACH/Wire Transfers

• Performing vendor due diligence including obtaining W-8/W-9 tax forms, conducting banking verifications and setting up new vendors in Quickbooks

• Responding to vendor inquiries regarding payment status

• T&E reports review and preparation of payment processing

• Monthly recording of Corporate Card transactions

• Daily recording of bank transactions and verifying ACH/Check debit block activities

• Processing month-end bank reconciliations

• Preparing reclass/month-end journal entries including monthly accrual and prepaid entries

• Assisting with the month-end close process including preparing/performing general ledger account reconciliations

• Generating various financial reports for internal and external stakeholders

• Assisting with financial/expense analysis

• Assisting with the preparation and filing of tax returns

• Assisting with audit and other requests, gathering of documentation, and ad hoc projects

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance

• 2 – 5 years of Accounting and/or Accounts Payable experience

• Experience with Quickbooks and Concur preferred

• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and technical skills

• Expertise in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
