Accountant Job at Strategic Employment Partners (SEP) in Indianapolis

An educational non-profit in Indianapolis, dedicated to making a positive impact in the community is seeking a motivated and experienced Accountant to join their team and contribute to their mission.

You will be managing their financial operations, while contributing to this organization's overall success. This role offers a unique opportunity for growth, with the potential to advance into a Controller/Accounting Manager position within 18 months.

Responsibilities:

• Perform general accounting duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
• Assist with financial reporting and analysis.
• Property accounting tasks (a slight plus).
• Contribute to the development and implementation of accounting policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• 4+ years of accounting experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Demonstrated commitment to pursuing CPA certification.
• Non-profit experience is a plus.
