Location: Federal Way / On-site

Salary Range: $68,640 – $83,200 DOE

We are seeking a detail-oriented, results-driven Sr. Accountant to support the organization’s financial operations and ensure accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. This role is based on-site in Federal Way and offers the opportunity to contribute directly to a mission that transforms lives.

Overview Of The Sr. Accountant Role

• Perform complex accounting functions, including reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and support for month- and year-end close processes and audits.
• Manage accounts payable, receivables, vendor relations, cash receipts, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Oversee payroll processing in partnership with HR, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and system integrations.
• Administer grant accounting, including budgeting, compliance monitoring, funder reporting, and audit preparation.
• Support property accounting by reviewing rent rolls, monitoring budget vs. actuals, and managing capital projects and third-party reporting.
• Maintain strong internal controls and provide excellent support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  
  

Preferred Qualification For The Sr. Accountant

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years of payroll; nonprofit and audit experience highly valued.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, fund accounting, and federal grant compliance (Uniform Guidance).
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and accounting software (e.g., Blackbaud, MIP Fund Accounting, RAMP).
• High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational/time management skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
