As a Senior Accountant you will be responsible for supervising and overseeing day-to-day accounting operations and staff. Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise business office staff and coordinate accounting workflows and quality control processes.
  • Perform bi-weekly invoicing and ensure accuracy in billing.
  • Support month-end accounting functions, including journal entries and analysis worksheets to support monthly financial closing.
  • Assist with review of bi-weekly payroll and follow up on discrepancies.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records and reports.
  • Contribute to the preparation of financial reports to assist in annual budgeting process.
  • Monitor and improve accounting procedures to increase business office efficiency and accuracy.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting (experience in consulting engineering or A/E/C industry is preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting principals, practices, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Deltek Vantagepoint is strongly preferred.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail in all work.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with proven ability to manage multiple priorities and diversified workload.
  • Effective communicator with leadership skills and ability to communicate financial information to expert and non-expert audiences.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of responsibilities in a team environment.
