Delivery Driver at Elliott Electric Supply.

Responsibilities

• Transports materials over designated routes; ensuring safe operation of vehicles.
• Provide excellent customer service by making prompt and courteous deliveries of orders.
• Ensure that material loaded on the truck is as listed on the Ship Ticket and Delivery Manifest and is secured for safe transport from store to destination.
• Unload materials for customers at each delivery location in an orderly fashion while verifying that material is correct based on the Ship Ticket.
• Perform daily detailed inspection of vehicle to ensure general maintenance and safety of vehicle.
• Responsible for all aspects of warehouse functions including receiving, storing, handling, shipping and preparing products for customer delivery while maintaining the warehouse in an orderly fashion.
• Safety-sensitive position; pre-employment drug test required as part of the selection process.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Proficiency with Android or iOS operating systems.
• Valid driver’s license from the state of residence is required; minimum of three (3) years of driving history.
• Satisfactory motor vehicle record (MVR) with no Type A violations or speeding violations >15 mph over limit in past 3 years, and no more than one (1) Type B violation in the same period.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience operating a commercial motor vehicle with a GVWR of 10,001 lbs or greater within the last 36 months.
• Strong reading, writing, basic calculations, data entry, reasoning and analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple tasks accurately in a team-oriented environment.

Physical Requirements

Must meet the physical qualifications to operate a motor vehicle in accordance with FMCSA 391.41. Regular visits to customer sites involve exposure to various weather conditions and environmental factors. Must follow each customer’s safety protocols and may encounter hazards such as loud noise or moving machinery. Requires frequent walking, bending, squatting, climbing, and kneeling; occasional pushing/pulling and reaching. Handling and lifting of objects up to 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 75 pounds.
