We are looking for an energetic, friendly, and inviting Receptionist for our skilled nursing facility in Oregon, Ohio.

Days: Monday-Friday
Summary:
The primary purpose of your job position is to perform clerical support efficiently in accordance with established procedures, as directed by your supervisor. The Receptionist is responsible for providing secretarial support services to the Administrator and other managers, handling incoming calls, greeting visitors, and supporting the BOM with Accounts/Payable functions for the facility.
Receptionist Job Responsibilities:
- Greet, welcome, and direct visitors appropriately.
- Notify company personnel of visitor arrivals.
- Maintain security and telecommunications systems.
- Answer inquiries and refer as needed to patients, families, and staff.
- Maintain employee and department directories to direct visitors.
- Follow procedures to ensure security, monitor logbooks, and issue visitor badges.
- Operate telecommunication systems according to manufacturer instructions.
- Keep the reception area safe and clean, complying with all rules and regulations.
- Support team communication by documenting actions and needs.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Essential Duties:
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must be a supportive team member, contributing to teamwork and team concepts.
- Ability to make independent decisions, follow instructions, and accept constructive criticism.
- Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, and agencies.
- Type at 45 words per minute and use a 10-key calculator.
- Manage phone switchboard operations systematically.
- Have working knowledge of computers, data entry, and retrieval.
- Follow administrative practices, procedures, and guidelines.
- Follow written and oral instructions.
- Work harmoniously with others, displaying patience, tact, and enthusiasm.
- Seek out new methods and principles to improve practices.
- Ensure no threat to health or safety in the workplace.
- Complete all other tasks assigned by the Administrator or designee.
