We seek a professional, friendly, organized front desk receptionist to join our growing team in Canton. You will coordinate all functions necessary for an efficient and productive patient flow between check-in, treatment, and check-out. You will serve as the main point of contact for all non-clinical patient services, including managing the patient scheduling process, collecting, posting, and depositing patient payments, maintaining patient charts and electronic medical records, keeping the front desk area organized, and providing excellent customer service to our patients.

Clinic hours: 6:00 AM – 7:00 PM. Some Saturdays may be required.

Responsibilities

• Obtains and enters new patient demographics; updates patient information in the computer system to maintain accuracy for billing.
• Obtains insurance information as required by office policies.
• Verify insurance benefits and obtain authorizations as needed to process patients for services.
• Collect all co-pays and balances, as required by office policies.
• Review forms for accuracy and completion according to office policies.
• Schedule patient appointments at check-out.
• Answer phones and transfer to appropriate staff.
• Maintain a clean and orderly waiting area to support a positive patient experience.
• Adhere to HIPAA regulations and guidelines to ensure patient privacy.
• Complete additional tasks to assist the Director and Practice Manager as necessary.

Qualifications

• Must have 1+ years of previous experience in a medical front office (preferred).
• Excellent telephone skills.
• Proficient in Word and Excel.
• Previous experience with medical software is preferred.
• Team player, energetic, focused on delivering excellent customer service.
