DPR Construction is seeking a self-motivated, organized, and personable Receptionist to join our team. As the first point of contact for teammates, visitors, clients, and vendors, you will represent the company and be responsible for creating a welcoming and professional environment. In this role, you will collaborate with all organizational members and perform various administrative and support functions to ensure smooth daily operations at our Silicon Valley Office.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet guests, connect them with the appropriate employees, help find conference rooms, and ensure they feel comfortable while waiting.
  • Oversee voicemail for Redwood City/Santa Clara.
  • Maintain office inventory, including supplies and equipment.
  • Provide administrative support to the Office Manager and other departments.
  • Assist in planning and coordinating internal and external events such as wine bars, happy hours, trainings, large meetings, and client events.
  • Support conference room reservations and setup for interviews, meetings, and events.
  • Manage mail, shipping, and receiving in coordination with the facilities team.
  • Order meals for meetings and events, including last-minute requests.
  • Maintain hygiene supplies and ensure cleanliness of kitchen and break areas, including tasks like dishwashing and cleaning coffee machines.
  • Perform other duties to ensure office efficiency, including vendor management and routine maintenance.
  • Support the Learning & Development Manager with in-person training logistics, scheduling, and data management.
  • Assist with scheduling training sessions, booking rooms, ordering catering, preparing materials, and sending reminders.
  • Administer Workday Learning platform as needed, including class creation and data entry.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Minimum 3 years as a receptionist/office administrator, preferably in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Excellent customer service and professional interaction skills.
  • Proactive problem solving and creative thinking.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Teamwork and flexibility in daily tasks.
  • Proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and a positive mindset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to work independently and take ownership of tasks.
  • This role is in-office and involves occasional late hours for events.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Physical Requirements

  • Prolonged sitting at a desk working on a computer.
  • Standing for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 20 lbs.

Starting Pay Range: $22.00 - $35.00 per hour.
