Overview

The Receptionist receives and correctly routes incoming and outgoing telephone calls and accommodates visitors so that all callers/visitors are attended to promptly, courteously, and accurately. The Receptionist performs basic administrative/clerical/operational/customer support tasks. Typically works on routine and patterned assignments. As the Receptionist, you are the first impression of the center, welcoming patients and coordinating front-desk activities. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy-going personality.

Job Functions

• Answer phone calls utilizing a multi-line telephone system.
• Ensure accurate and timely processing of all requests by taking appropriate action, such as scheduling appointments, taking messages, and transferring calls to appropriate staff.
• Ensure thorough records are maintained by documenting discussion, messages and actions taken to process inquiries.
• Resolve patient issues through independent problem solving with a goal of first-call resolution.

Required Qualifications

• Bilingual English and Spanish
• 2+ years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting utilizing a computer-based practice management software system
• Ability to handle high call volume and multi-task while providing an exceptional customer experience
• Excellent customer service and phone etiquette
• Knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in EMR systems such as E-Clinical Works, Epic, Athena Health, or NextGen

Additional Information

• Work Hours: Monday - Friday 8am - 5pm
• This role is patient-facing and is part of Humana’s Tuberculosis (TB) screening program. If selected, you will be screened for TB.

Pay Range

Base pay range: $38,000.00/yr - $45,800.00/yr

• This position is eligible for a bonus incentive plan based on company and/or individual performance.
