Electrician Job at Weidmann Electrical Technology in Saint Johnsbury

Overview

Electrician – Weidmann Electrical Technology, on-site in St. Johnsbury, VT. Full-time, 1st shift. Overtime, weekends/holidays as required. Starting pay: $35.00/hr.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical wiring and devices for buildings and machinery.


• Calibrate devices used to control production processes.


• Use computers and PLC controls to troubleshoot problems.


• Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain electrical wiring and devices for Weidmann's buildings and equipment, including conduits, motors, starters, VFDs, control panels, process control devices and equipment.


• Perform work in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA, NEC, state regulations, NFPA 70E and Weidmann regulations.


• Regularly communicate with the Lead Person or Plant Engineer regarding problems or safety issues.


• Develop, plan and maintain facilities, processes, production equipment and tooling to meet the needs of the business.


• Work in a neat, workmanlike manner, following manufacturer's instructions for torquing and installation; may involve confined spaces, tight spaces, elevated work and varied environments.

What you bring

• High School or Trade School Diploma required.


• Valid State of Vermont Electrician Journeyman License with at least four years of experience in low-voltage wiring (480 volts), switch gear, electric motors, etc.


• Ability to provide own various electrician tools and hand tools. Company will provide large/expensive tools.


• Must be able to obtain forklift license.


• Must be able to meet all physical requirements in accordance with the Essential Function Job Analysis.
