Base pay range

$25.00/yr - $33.00/yr

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Electrician to join our non-union team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing electrical installations and repairs on construction sites, ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of electrical systems, including both low and high voltage applications, as well as the ability to read blueprints and schematics. As a Lead Electrician, you will guide a team of electricians, providing mentorship and support while ensuring project timelines are met.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of electricians on construction sites.
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including low voltage and high voltage wiring.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to determine project requirements.
  • Utilize power tools and testing equipment such as ohmmeters to ensure proper functionality of electrical systems.
  • Ensure compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and other relevant regulations.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
  • Train junior electricians on best practices for safety, installation techniques, and equipment usage.
  • Conduct regular inspections of work performed to ensure quality standards are met.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a commercial electrician with a strong background in construction site operations.
  • Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics related to electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with logic controllers and their applications in electrical installations.
  • Strong knowledge of NEC regulations and safety standards related to electrical work.
  • Ability to work with both low voltage and high voltage systems effectively.
  • Experience using power tools safely and efficiently in various environments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues.
  • Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to effectively manage a team.
