Universal Stainless & Alloy Products, Inc., established in 1994, is headquartered in Bridgeville, PA, with plants in North Jackson, OH, Dunkirk, NY, and Titusville, PA. We produce semi-finished and finished specialty steel products including stainless steel, tool steel, bearing steel, gear steel, and aircraft quality low alloy steels for industries such as Boeing, Ford, Chrysler, CAT, Toshiba, and GE Energy.

Primary Function

Perform electrical maintenance and repair work throughout the mill.

Basic Responsibilities

• Maintain and replace motor bearings.
• Maintain control panels, switches, and wiring.
• Inspect and repair breakers and transformers.
• Perform general electrical maintenance on assigned areas.
• Operate overhead crane and/or fork truck for moving electrical supplies or equipment.
• Interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Perform electromechanical rebuilds of plant production equipment.
• Assist in installing and relocating equipment.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment.

Sources of Supervision

Generally works independently, reporting to Maintenance Supervisor.

Tools and Equipment

Use electrical repair tools, wrenches, volt meters, soldering torches, jacks, testing equipment, pliers, screwdrivers, and other hand tools.

Skills and Experience

• Ability to interpret blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Tac-welding skills.
• Experience in an industrial or manufacturing electrical environment.

Education and Training

• Two-year post-high school education required.
• Must pass the Ramsey RR47-A test or equivalent and demonstrate electrical knowledge.
