Position: Licensed or Non-Licensed Electrician
Role: Install basic electrical equipment and systems in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and standards.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, conduit, cable, equipment, components, and devices based on blueprints and building plans.
- Install and mount electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.
- Perform interlock wiring as required.
- Test electrical systems and circuit continuity using testing devices.
- Inspect installation sites, review work orders, plans, and manuals to determine materials and procedures.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems and components using testing tools to identify and correct issues.
- Read and interpret contract drawings.
- Troubleshoot EMS systems, smart breakers, and relays.
Qualifications
- At least four (4) years of experience in the electrical industry.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must pass background check and drug test.
- Reliable transportation.
- Ability to work overtime, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Working Conditions and Environment
- Physically demanding work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and snow.
- Work at heights and in restricted areas such as switchgear rooms, manholes, tunnels, crawl spaces, or attics.
- Access work areas requiring OSHA-approved ladders or stairs under construction.
- Flexible hours, including overtime, weekends, and night shifts.
- Work professionally with customers and representatives, maintaining a courteous demeanor.
Abilities
- Ability to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds regularly, following safety protocols.
- Relocate a 12-foot stepladder unaided.
- Work at heights up to 60 feet, climbing and balancing on scaffolds, lifts, and ladders.
- Perform physical activities such as walking, climbing, lifting, squatting, crawling, kneeling, pushing, pulling, and reaching overhead.
- Good vision (corrected if necessary), color vision, hearing, and English communication skills.
- Use standard ladders safely while carrying tools.
- Recognize potential problems or malfunctions.
- Apply general rules to specific problems logically.
- Combine information to form conclusions, recognizing relationships among events.
- See details clearly at close range.
- Understand spoken information effectively.
