Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee full-cycle recruitment, including analyzing staffing needs, sourcing candidates, screening, interviewing, conducting background checks, and extending job offers.
- Manage and coordinate the onboarding process and new hire orientation, ensuring a smooth transition into the organization.
- Guide and support managers through progressive disciplinary actions and terminations, ensuring proper documentation and compliance with legal and company standards.
- Address and resolve employee relations issues, including grievances, policy questions, and formal complaints, conducting investigations as needed.
- Administer and manage employee leaves of absence, including FMLA, CFRA, PDL, ADA, and other company or legally mandated leave programs.
- Handle workers' compensation claims, facilitate return-to-work programs, and maintain OSHA compliance and general workplace safety.
- Administer employee benefits programs and support annual open enrollment.
- Supervise and train HR team members, providing ongoing coaching and development.
- Deliver management training on HR practices, policies, and leadership topics.
- Maintain confidentiality and discretion in all HR matters.
- Perform other duties as assigned by HR Director.
Requirements
Qualifications/Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in a Human Resources supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of state and federal employment laws.
- Proven ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- High level of integrity and discretion in handling confidential information.
Education/Training/Experience
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
