To support this trajectory, B&E Resources is hiring a strategic Human Resources Director to lead people’s operations across a dynamic, multi-site workforce.

About the Role

This is an opportunity to transition the future of HR inside a fast-growing industrial services company with over 20 years of history. The Human Resources Director will serve as a key business partner to the executive team and will be responsible for building the HR function into a high-impact, scalable platform that supports the company’s aggressive growth plans.

The HR Director will lead the department into its next phase to become a strategic, tech-enabled team that drives performance, improves compliance, and enhances employee experience. This includes leading the implementation and field training of a new Human Resource Information System (HRIS) and Human Capital Management (HCM) system, building recruiting and staffing infrastructure to find and place exceptional talent, and introducing systems and processes to reduce manual work and support field leadership.

The right candidate will bring a deep understanding of labor-intensive, industrial environments and be energized by the opportunity to build from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizational Design & Infrastructure
  • Scale and lead an HR structure aligned with business priorities and future scale
  • Define clear roles, workflows, and communication protocols across field and corporate teams
  • Partner with field leadership to establish and manage a high-performing recruiting function that efficiently sources, assesses, hires and onboards field and office talent
  • Implement sourcing strategies to find passive and high-skill labor in competitive markets
  • Lead implementation of the company’s new Human Resource Information System and Human Capital Management system
  • Design and deliver training and support to ensure successful field adoption and long-term utilization
  • Payroll
  • With Finance & Accounting and in conjunction with new HRIS system, support the transition from complete third-party outsourcing to internal shared service approach with third party vendor
  • Ensure all employee data and historical data is transitioned and stored properly
  • Lead employee self service center roll-out and subsequent training
  • Compliance & Risk Management
  • Maintain up-to-date HR policies, employee handbooks, and compliance programs
  • Ensure full compliance with employment regulations across all jurisdictions
  • Process Automation & Efficiency
  • Streamline manual HR tasks through technology and tools
  • Develop scalable systems for onboarding, timekeeping, benefits, tracking safety, performance and workplace certifications
  • Field Support & Culture Stewardship
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to field leadership, building strong relationships with site managers
  • Promote a culture of accountability, safety, and engagement across the workforce

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
  • 10+ years of progressive HR experience
  • At least 3 years of HR leadership experience managing a team with direct reports
  • At least 5 years of experience in manufacturing, skilled trades, construction, or other industrial blue-collar environments
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting a majority non-exempt (hourly) workforce
  • Professional HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP) required
  • Other relevant certifications preferred include
  • Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
  • Certified Compensation Professional (CCP)
  • Certified Benefits Professional (CBP)
  • Strong experience in talent acquisition, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance
  • Demonstrated success in multi-site, multi-jurisdictional operations
  • Experience leading or supporting HRIS/HCM system implementation
  • Ability to travel regionally up to 25% of the time
