About The Role
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented HR Generalist to join our team. This role will provide essential Human Resources support and play a key role in advancing HR initiatives across employee relations, onboarding, performance management, benefits, compliance, and employee communication. Acting as a trusted point of contact, the HR Generalist will guide employees, supervisors, and frontline managers on day-to-day HR matters.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily HR operations including onboarding, benefits administration, and employee relations.
- Conduct new hire orientation and ensure completion of all employment documentation and training.
- Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures, and programs in compliance with federal and state laws.
- Serve as a resource for employee questions regarding policies, benefits, and procedures.
- Investigate employee complaints, document findings, and provide guidance to managers and staff.
- Maintain accurate employee records in the HRIS system, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Administer employee benefit programs (enrollments, changes, terminations) and liaise with insurance providers.
- Track and report HR metrics, including engagement indicators.
- Assist with payroll processing by verifying timesheets and employee status changes.
- Stay current on HR best practices and employment legislation to ensure compliance.
- Manage employee workers’ compensation claims and serve as a liaison with carriers and providers.
- Administer FMLA and leave of absence programs, including documentation and compliance tracking.
- Provide administrative support and assist with special HR projects as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- 5–7 years of HR experience; PHR certification preferred but not required.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Broad knowledge of human resources disciplines and employment law.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong organizational skills and flexibility with shifting priorities.
- Commitment to staying current on HR trends and regulatory updates.
