Responsibilities
Your new role is based in Wilmington, NC. You'll serve as the go-to person for all things HR, payroll, contracts, and administrative support. Your daily and weekly responsibilities will include:
- Leading recruiting coordination efforts, including job postings, screening, interview scheduling, and onboarding
- Administering payroll, including certified payroll for prevailing wage projects
- Managing all employee benefits: open enrollment, insurance renewals, HSA contributions, and 401(k) submissions
- Supporting senior-level hiring and confidential HR initiatives
- Managing new hire onboarding, background checks, MVR processing, and compliance documentation
- Maintaining accurate records for vehicle assignments, COIs, accident reporting, and personnel files
- Handling employment verification, lien filings, and monthly insurance audits
- Administering contract and prequalification documentation for construction projects
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in HR, recruiting, and payroll administration
- Experience supporting senior leadership hiring and confidential HR projects
- Deep understanding of employee benefits administration, insurance platforms, and compliance (e.g., OSHA, MVRs, COIs)
- Proficiency with payroll software and spreadsheet tools; strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- High level of professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
- Experience with certified payroll and prevailing wage reporting preferred
