Overview

Lead Talent Acquisition Partner - Bridgestone Americas. The Human Resource Manager is responsible for all Human Resource functions and Human Resource operations of Bridgestone Aircraft Tire (USA), Inc.

Responsibilities

  • Implement or consolidate all aspects of a human resources management policy in collaboration with senior management in order to reach the company's strategic priorities.
  • Identify legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
  • Recruit, interview, test, and select employees to fill vacant positions.
  • Manage hiring, training, performance, and growth of the HR teammates.
  • Manage new teammate orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals and adhesion to company culture ("Serving Society with Superior Quality") in partnership with HR Coordinator.
  • Maintain records for benefits plans participation such as insurance and retirement plan, personnel transactions such as hires, promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations, and employee statistics for government reporting; develop job descriptions.
  • Coordinate management training in areas such as interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, sexual harassment, and personal growth.
  • Advise management in appropriate resolution of teammate relations issues. Respond to and represent the company at teammate-related hearings and investigations.
  • Advise employees regarding FMLA, short- and long-term disability, retirement plan loans, retirement coordination, and any other life events that may arise.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs; maintain all policies and the teammate handbook.
  • Administer performance review program to ensure effectiveness, compliance, and equity within the organization.
  • Administer salary administration program to ensure compliance and equity within the organization.
  • Administer benefits programs such as life, health, dental, and disability insurances, retirement plans, vacation, sick leave, leave of absence, and teammate assistance.
  • Conduct wage surveys within the labor market to determine competitive wage rate.
  • Develop and manage the budget for the Human Resource Department.
  • Prepare teammate separation notices and related documentation; conduct exit interviews to determine reasons behind separations.
  • Prepare reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover.
  • Contract with outside suppliers to provide teammate services, such as canteen, transportation, or relocation service.
  • Administer Bonus plan with Finance Department.
  • Coordinate Blood Drives/United Way/Company Picnics with HR staff.
  • Provide an active presence in the community through GMSHRM, Chamber of Commerce, and other local organizations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University or Associate Degree and equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Eight (8) years of progressive Employee Relations and development experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Excellent oral, written, and communication skills; ability to interact with all levels of the organization.
