Job Description

We are seeking a Human Resources Generalist to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a key part in undertaking a variety of HR responsibilities and improving upon our process.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to deliver high-quality solutions. The ideal candidate will have a broad knowledge of Human Resources as well as general administrative responsibilities. He/She will be able to work autonomously and efficiently to ensure the end-to-end running of HR projects and operations. To succeed in this role, this person needs to have a continuous improvement mindset that is driven to help our company be better everyday.

Key Responsibilities

  • Employee Relations
    • Provide support to employees in various HR related topics such as Paid Time off, FMLA or other Leaves of absence, HRIS (UKG-Ready) system related issues or questions, Benefit questions, etc.
    • Be the first line of support in guiding supervisors through employment matters such as dealing with poor performance, attendance issues or poor attitude, etc.
    • Assist with conducting investigations into employment matters.
    • Gather employee feedback through various means such as new hire check ins, employee surveys and exit interviews.
    • Escalate higher level issues and concerns to the CFO.
    • Partner and consult with Hiring Managers to gain a clear view of their hiring needs, identify requirements and timing.
    • Manage the full lifecycle of the recruiting process (Partnering with our Recruiter) to ensure all of the recruiting systems (research, sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, offer presentation, Background Checks, Drug Screens and Reference Checks) are completed in compliantly.
    • Incorporate best practices to ensure candidates and hiring managers have positive recruiting experience and are effectively engaged throughout the process.
    • Develop a full understanding and utilize reporting features of recruiting systems, including requisition reports, candidate status reports, etc.to share regular updates on recruiting metrics.
    • Continuously assess & improve key service level metrics such as time-to-fill, quality of hires and candidate experience.
    • Conduct New Hire onboarding for all new hires including completion of new hire paperwork, training, and other first day processes.
  • Administrative Responsibilities
    • Present an overview of HR actions on a weekly basis to the Senior Leadership Team.
    • Provide administrative HR support by organizing and filing required personnel documents in compliance with state and federal guidelines.
    • Assist in document audits to ensure HR compliance. (5500, etc…)
    • Assist with the preparation of presentations and other HR related reports.
    • Manage the administration of the Safety Committee.
    • Participate in the event planning committee.
    • Assist with other assignments and projects as needed.
  • HRIS/Payroll System
    • Maintain the HRIS system administration responsibilities. Implement additional modules, enhancing utilization of features and functionality and addressing any system technical issues directly with UKG.

Required Qualifications

  • BA Degree in Human Resources or another related field
  • PHR or SHRM-CP desired but not required.
  • 5+ years of HR related experience, preferably within a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with UKG Ready

  • Ability to prioritize workload and manage multiple projects
  • Experience recruiting and onboarding hourly general labor and professional level employees.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
