Overview

The Sanderling Resort is hiring a full-time Barista to work morning shifts (6:30 am - 3:00 pm) at our Beach House lobby coffee bar. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving coffee, espresso drinks, and other beverages, while providing exceptional guest service. This role is ideal for someone with a passion for coffee and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests warmly and take beverage and light food orders accurately
• Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and espresso-based drinks according to established recipes and standards
• Operate coffee equipment such as espresso machines, grinders, and brewers safely and efficiently
• Restock and maintain cleanliness of the coffee station and market area throughout the shift
• Ensure proper labeling, storage, and rotation of products
• Handle cash and operate POS system for transactions
• Maintain knowledge of menu items and be able to make product recommendations
• Adhere to health, safety, and sanitation standards

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent experience. Previous experience in a customer service role strongly preferred. No Barista experience required.
