Responsibilities

1. Greet and educate patients throughout their dental journey.
2. Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
3. Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments.
4. Assist dentists chairside during procedures in accordance with the law.
5. Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
6. Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols.
7. Manage supplies and inventory.
8. Collaborate with the team to implement systems and improve workflow.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
• Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
• Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by law.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to protect patient information and adhere to HIPAA.

Preferred Experience

• Over 1 year of dental experience.
• Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
• Dental assisting certification.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations.
• Prolonged sitting and standing.
• Lift up to 45 pounds.
• Attend periodic training sessions.
• TB test required before employment (except in FL & TN).
