Responsibilities
- Greet and educate patients throughout their dental journey.
- Review patient health history to ensure quality care.
- Take and process x-rays and diagnostic assessments.
- Assist dentists chairside during procedures in accordance with the law.
- Use Dentrix for scheduling and records.
- Prepare treatment rooms following safety protocols.
- Manage supplies and inventory.
- Collaborate with the team to implement systems and improve workflow.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of dental procedures and terminology.
- Experience in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Dental assistant and/or x-ray certification as required by law.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to protect patient information and adhere to HIPAA.
Preferred Experience
- Over 1 year of dental experience.
- Experience with Dentrix or similar software.
- Dental assisting certification.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform duties with or without accommodations.
- Prolonged sitting and standing.
- Lift up to 45 pounds.
- Attend periodic training sessions.
- TB test required before employment (except in FL & TN).
