The dental assistant (surgical assistant) at Nuvia Dental Implant Center plays a crucial role in assisting surgeons and restorative dentists to deliver premium, safe, and memorable patient care. Responsibilities range from setup and surgery assistance to impressions, X-rays, and coordinating orders with patients.

Responsibilities

  • Preparing and breaking down operation rooms, ensuring the surgical team remains in the room
  • Placing orders for basic and implant supplies

  • Assisting the doctor during various surgical implant procedures
  • Delivering pre- and post-op instructions
  • Sterilization and daily cleaning

Qualifications

  • Registered Dental Assistant with the proper certifications

A Day In The Life

Surgery prep and start: Prepare instruments and patients for surgery and coordinate with the surgeon and CRNA; assist with intubation as needed.

Morning huddle: Review the day’s schedule and coordinate with the team on patient needs.

Meet lab deadlines: Work efficiently to ensure prosthetics are ready within 24 hours.

Overcoming obstacles: Troubleshoot equipment, patient delays, and concerns to maintain smooth operations and top-tier patient experience.

Perform circular tasks: Order supplies, sterilize, ensure compliance, and handle lab requests or questions to keep Nuvia operating at its best.

End of day: Complete surgery reports and prepare for upcoming cases by reviewing patient charts and implants.
