We are currently looking for a full-time Lead Mechanic at our Riverdale location.

Job Description

Direct work group and coach other mechanics. Review and approve paperwork. Assist in asset maintenance as needed. Diagnose and repair heavy-duty diesel class 8 trucks, including rear end loaders, front end loaders, roll-offs, tractors, and box trucks. Perform metal fabrication and welding. Diagnose and repair forklifts, skid steers, wheel loaders, roll-offs, rear loaders, and front loaders, including hydraulic systems. Complete truck overhauls and retired unit rebuilds. Diagnose mechanical, electrical, or other breakdowns or failures in trucks or related equipment. Occasionally perform road calls for repairs. Use welding skills and knowledge of metals for truck repairs. Follow DOT, OSHA, and company safety policies.

Requirements

• 2-5 years of truck repair experience
• Experience with Mack, Kenworth, & Peterbilt trucks
• Knowledge of engines, transmissions, and electrical systems
• Own tools
• CDL B license is a plus
• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Welding experience preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and analyze components and systems
• ABS systems diagnostic experience
• Ability to work under supervision and follow-up
• Ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to lift 50 lbs or more
• Mechanical ability
