Social Worker Job at Morris Heights Health Center in New York

MHHC is seeking enthusiastic Licensed Social Workers to join our expanding SchoolBased Health Center Program. This program is a partnership with a varietyof schools in the community to improve the well-being of children andfamilies by providing onsite access to healthcare, including mental healthand health education services. Social Workers will provide evaluations,psychotherapy and social services to students and their families. Essentialresponsibilities include:

• Completing screening and intake assessments
• Conducting individual, family and group psychotherapy that is focused andgoal oriented as clinically determined
• Conducting crisis counseling as requested
• Developing preventive interventions as needed for the specific studentpopulation at the site
• Documenting all evaluations and treatment in accordance with MHHC protocolsincluding regulatory requirements of JCAHO, DOH and DOE
• Collaborating and consulting with School Based Health Center team members:Medical Provider, Health Educator and School Health Assistants; will alsoconsult with DOE staff as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

Successful candidates will have at least a LCSW in New York along withthree year of post Master's clinical experience or equivalent experiencepreferred working with children, adolescents and adults in a mental healthsetting. Should be able to demonstrate Age Related Competency, knowledgeof growth and developmental stages from childhood, adolescence and adulthood.

HIRING RATE

$34.10 - $39.40 per hour (based on experience)
