IT Support Specialist Job at Minnesota Bankers Association in Sauk Rapids

Farmers & Merchants State Bank of Pierz is a family-owned community bank located in central MN with three bank locations. We are currently seeking a highly motivated IT Support Specialist to join our dynamic team. This individual will be responsible for providing software and network support and troubleshooting in a multi-OS networked environment. Additionally, they will support a wide range of applications used within the bank and perform general maintenance on the LAN related to users, contexts, and network devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain knowledge of multiple operating systems, application software used by the bank, and common hardware to support users effectively.
• Provide real-time support and technical assistance to bank staff.
• Respond to user requests, determine support needs, and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Investigate and resolve software issues, including contacting vendors or accessing online support.
• Address hardware problems onsite and remotely, investigating and resolving issues promptly.
• Install and maintain workstations, printers, and other devices on the LAN.
• Keep accurate records of problem resolutions, network activities, and maintenance tasks.
• Assist with relocating equipment as needed.
• Suggest training ideas for users based on support interactions.
• Understand installation, configuration, and troubleshooting processes for software, hardware, and networking equipment.

Job Details

This is a non-exempt, in-office position based in Pierz, with some travel to Sauk Rapids and Eden Valley.

Education & Experience

Ideal candidates will hold an AAS or BS degree in information technology or a related field, or equivalent experience. Experience in a banking environment is a plus. Requirements include strong communication, organizational, analytical skills, and the ability to work independently. Physical ability to visit branches and lift up to 50 pounds is also required.

The salary range is $55K - $70K, depending on experience and education.
