Tex Tech is looking for an experienced IT Support Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate would have experience supporting Windows 10/11, Windows server, Active Directory, IBM iSeries, Phone systems, Networking, Wireless APs, and Firewalls.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine maintenance, patching, backups, and monitoring using company approved software
  • Onboard/offboard users, devices and services
  • Configure and manage switches, firewalls, and wireless access points
  • Install and configure all required software
  • Maintain detailed records of hardware and software, including repairs, configurations, and inventory
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, including computer, printer, and network issues
  • Managing data backups and disaster recovery
  • Monitoring servers, network equipment, and other critical systems to ensure optimal performance and availability.
  • Tracking and maintaining an inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
Qualifications
  • Associate degree in Information Systems or 5+ years of hands-on experience in IT Support
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, server virtualization, and networking fundamentals
  • Experience with RMM tools and remote desktop technologies
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Experience managing network equipment such as switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
Preferred Qualifications (not required)
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems
  • Experience managing an IBM iSeries

Starting pay is $50,000 to $60,000 depending on education, skills and experience.
