Job Summary:

The IT Support Tech will assist the IT department in networking, micro market installation and maintenance, firewall management, running network cables, and electronic device support.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Live and model BROWN VALUES in all actions.
• Install Micro Markets:
• Secure equipment in cabinets.
• Determine optimal locations for cameras and install security cameras to monitor products and purchases.
• Select the best network/internet connection (customer-provided/wireless).

• Technical Support for Brown Group Companies:
• Assist with smartphones and technical issues.
• Support desktops, laptops, and iPads.
• Perform OS updates for smartphones.
• Troubleshoot applications, software, and devices.
• Provide training on electronic device usage.

Physical Demands:

• Lift 10 lbs. frequently and 40 lbs. intermittently.
• Bend, stoop, and climb as required.
• Stand and walk for extended periods.

Work Environment:

• Work in various settings including office, industrial, and outdoor environments.
• Expose to cold, hot, and rainy conditions.
• Travel to different locations is required.

Qualifications:

• Valid driver’s license with an approved driving record.
• Associate degree (2-year) required.
• Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and colleagues.
• Knowledge of client/server infrastructure and applications.
• Experience with Microsoft Office 365.
• Experience with Windows 7 and 10.
• Knowledge of iOS and Android platforms.
• Use of personal vehicle for travel with mileage reimbursement.
• Understanding of network security principles.
• Network cabling knowledge is a plus.
