Overview
As an IT Specialist – TruckMate at DSV, you will play a critical role in maintaining, supporting, and enhancing TruckMate across our organization. This role serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, Global IT, and external vendors to ensure optimal system performance, seamless integrations, and successful implementations of customer-specific requirements. The ideal candidate combines technical expertise with business acumen, serving as a subject matter expert on TruckMate configuration, application lifecycle management, incident resolution, and customer onboarding. Your focus will be on supporting operational efficiency and system reliability while enabling scalability through system customization and integration.

Duties And Responsibilities
Application Support & Maintenance
- Provide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for TruckMate-related incidents and service requests.
- Proactively monitor system performance and health to ensure stability and minimize business disruption.
- Perform root cause analysis for recurring system issues; recommend and implement sustainable solutions.
- Troubleshoot application errors and collaborate with internal teams or vendors to resolve technical problems.
- Ensure timely communication to stakeholders regarding known issues, system downtimes, or changes.
Configuration & Change Management
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and the Process, Data, and Digitalization team to improve functionality, performance, and user experience.
- Configure and customize TruckMate based on evolving business needs, including workflows, data fields, automation, and integrations.
- Support software releases and upgrades, including testing, deployment coordination, and documentation.
- Ensure configuration changes align with security and compliance standards.
Customer Account Implementation
- Participate in onboarding and implementation projects for new strategic customers.
- Configure TruckMate to meet customer-specific transport and logistics requirements.
- Develop and maintain integration maps for EDI, API, and other system touchpoints.
- Collaborate with project managers, operational leaders, and vendor consultants to deliver timely and accurate go-lives.
- Support end-to-end testing, validation, and troubleshooting during implementation phases.
User & Stakeholder Interaction
- Act as a trusted liaison between business users, internal developers, and external vendor support teams.
- Provide training and user support for large customer accounts and new business rollouts.
- Gather business requirements, translate them into system specifications, and deliver scalable technical solutions.
- Application Lifecycle Management
- Evaluate system capabilities and propose upgrades, enhancements, or replacements as needed.
- Stay current on TruckMate functionality and roadmap developments.
Documentation & Knowledge Sharing
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation for configurations, procedures, integrations, and troubleshooting steps.
- Contribute to internal knowledge management and train other IT team members on system functionality and updates.
Vendor Management
- Coordinate directly with the TruckMate vendor support team for escalated issues, system enhancements, and release support.
- Monitor and follow up on service tickets, outstanding change requests, and known defects.
- Collaborate with vendor consultants on configuration design and system optimization.
Skills & Competencies
- Deep understanding of the TruckMate TMS and its configuration capabilities.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills in application support and systems integration.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong project coordination abilities and comfort working in a dynamic, deadline-driven environment.
- Familiarity with EDI, APIs, and data mapping.
- Experience in documentation and knowledge-sharing best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple support and configuration streams simultaneously.
Educational Background / Work Experience / Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Logistics Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of experience supporting and configuring enterprise software applications, ideally in the logistics or transportation industry.
- Proven experience with TruckMate preferred.
- Experience supporting freight brokerage and trucking, TMS integrations, or transportation operations is strongly preferred.
Language Skills
- Business fluent in English
- Preferably good command of local language
- Additional language skills are a plus.
Computer Literacy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Hands-on experience with TruckMate and supporting tools.
- Familiarity with integration tools and technologies (e.g., EDI systems, API platforms).
Physical And/or Mental Requirements / Working Conditions
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand. The employee is often required to walk and use hand and eye coordination. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Work Hours and Environment
Normal working hours for this position are Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM, however, working beyond these hours will often be required by business needs.

DSV Road Inc. employees are hired for an undefined period of time as “at will” employees. Compensation
For this position, the expected base pay is: $70,500 - $105,500 per year. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, geographical location, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
