Base pay range

$30.00/hr - $40.00/hr

What you'll do as a Mechanic

• Inspects, repairs and maintains diesel trucks and equipment ranging from a pick-up truck up to Class 8 vehicle.
• Repairs and maintains all ground engaging equipment.
• Performs incidental welding operations on equipment.
• Maintains maintenance records for all equipment including service records, parts and repair costs, service schedules and inspections.
• Performs 8-10 repair orders per day including but not limited to routine maintenance and oil changes on fleet.
• Performs 90-day inspections on equipment.

What you’ll need

• To be 18 years of age or older
• Authorization to work in the United States for this company
• Minimum of 3 years' experience in automotive and heavy equipment maintenance/repair
• Positive attitude, hard work ethic, and a priority for safety
• Must understand the hazards and precautions in the trade
• Forklift certified
• Ability to understand oral and written instructions
• Must be able to meet deadlines of equipment inspections
• Ability to work overtime as needed
• Valid driver's license (Class A is preferred)

Physical abilities & exposures

• Routinely: Walk, bend, kneel, lift, and sit for an extended time. Climb up and down equipment. Push, pull, reach, and carry objects such as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 25 lbs.
• Subject to inclement weather conditions when working outdoors.
• Occasionally: Push, pull, reach, and carry objects such as tools, materials and equipment weighing up to 75 lbs. Sit for extended periods of time while driving.
