As an Attorney focused on business immigration, you will play a vital role in ensuring compliance and supporting the companys global workforce. You will leverage your legal expertise to review visa filings, provide guidance on immigration policies, and contribute to process improvements. Your work will directly impact the lives of employees and the overall success of the companys immigration program.
Responsibilities:
Utilize U.S. immigration law expertise to ensure daily workflow targets are met and maintain the integrity of the case preparation program.
Train administrative staff on USCIS filings, document processing, and PERM job postings, addressing their daily questions and reviewing their work for accuracy and quality.
Conduct root cause analysis and resolution for legal and operational issues.
Identify and propose legal process improvements to enhance quality, streamline workflow, and build operational resiliency.
Complete legal reviews of immigration filings.
Address legal questions related to I-9 completion and E-Verify, including complex issue resolution.
Train and monitor administrative staff supporting I-9 reverification.
Guide managers on PERM requirements and obligations during applicant review.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding visa and green card eligibility, travel, and maintaining legal status.
Must-Have Qualifications:
Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to the bar.
1+ years of experience in immigration law (business immigration preferred, but family-based experience will be considered).
Nice-to-Have Qualifications:
Experience in a high-volume immigration setting.
Experience with complex E-Verify issue resolution.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, independent work environment.
Familiarity with common productivity software
The target hiring compensation range for this role is $46.12 to $51.25 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
