American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Tele position requiring EPIC experience and the ability to work night shifts with floating responsibilities.Job Details•Provide nursing care on a Med/Surg Telemetry unit in a hospital setting,•Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts (7:00 pm to 7:00 am),•Every other weekend and holiday rotations required, including coverage for either Thanksgiving or Black Friday, Christmas Eve or Day, and New Year's Eve or Day,•Float required to 2A overflow unit for MS Tele assignments and between all associated facilities as needed,•Patient population includes acute/chronic respiratory illness, post-op general and GYN surgery, orthopedic cases, pain management, GI bleeding, CHF/pulmonary edema, diabetes management, renal failure, drug overdose, CIWA patients (score below 7), suicidal, arrhythmia, radioactive therapy, new onset seizures, and stable COVID patients,•Expected patient ratios up to 6 patients if needed,•Department uses EPIC EMR and EPIC experience is required,•Administers select IV medication drips such as Heparin and TNA,Job Requirements•Active RN license in hand required,•Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,•MS/Tele nursing and telemetry experience required,•Current BLS certification required,•ACLS and NIHSS certifications preferred,•EPIC EMR experience required,•Must pass a mandatory EKG exam during compliance with two attempts allowed,•Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from the facility; locals not accepted,•Education must be verifiable and not from schools on the Florida Diploma Fraud Audit list,•No open cases allowed on background check,Additional Information•Primary duties include caring for a diverse and acutely ill patient population with frequent orthopedic, post-op, and medical telemetry cases,•First time travelers are welcome to apply,•All travelers are subject to float between all associated campuses,•Modules will be completed during orientation and typically take 2-4 hours depending on the unit,•Must be available to meet compliance requirements by the Wednesday prior to the start date,•Required to work designated holidays as scheduled,•Travelers are expected to adhere to strict punctuality and attendance policies,),•hash,:• ,
