Job Title: IT - Oracle E-Business Applications DBA

Rate: $60/hr. On W2
Description
The Senior Oracle Applications DBA is responsible for supporting Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1/12.2 instances and other mission-critical Oracle systems.
The role involves researching and troubleshooting application and database issues for the Oracle Applications teams, including SCM, ASCP, Finance, HRMS, and Order-to-Cash. Support extends to boundary systems such as WebLogic, OBIEE, OAM/OID, Demantra, Discoverer, and Informatica.
The DBA will partner with technical and business groups to ensure database performance standards meet enterprise service level agreements. The candidate will assist in infrastructure lifecycle management, perform administrative activities like cloning, backup/restore, patching, and ensure database quality and security.
The DBA will also help develop roadmaps and migrate workloads to cloud platforms such as private/public, Oracle, Azure, and AWS.
Responsibilities: Install, patch, upgrade, configure, tune, and maintain Oracle E-Business Suite R12.1/12.2 and 19c databases. Collaborate with system and network administrators. Install system enhancements and analyze hardware, software, and data utilization for efficiency. Design, implement, and test disaster recovery procedures. Support custom application development. Provide level 2 support (24x7) for production, including high-volume, critical applications. Write UNIX shell scripts. Clone R12 environments. Establish and maintain Oracle ASM/RAC databases. Tune Oracle applications, databases, and PL/SQL code. Monitor performance and space usage. Analyze performance issues across application, concurrent manager, and database tiers. Assist developers with performance tuning. Manage capacity and database space. Architect and support Oracle Application Technology Stack components, including RAC, core Oracle Database, E-Business Suite, OID/OAM, OBIEE, Demantra, Discoverer, Middleware (WebLogic). Implement and support Oracle ERP Applications. Resolve technical issues quickly in high-pressure environments. Support third-party applications like Informatica, Vertex, Noetix, iScramble. Ensure system security and conduct periodic audits. Document DBA processes and prepare system documentation. Participate in on-call rotation for 24x7 support. Perform additional tasks as requested. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent. Minimum 10 years IT experience, including Oracle E-Business Suite 12i administration, UNIX, PL/SQL, and Oracle database administration. Experience with Oracle E-Business 12i activities such as patching, cloning, replication, troubleshooting in HA and DR environments. Strong Oracle database performance tuning skills. Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, and high availability solutions. Administering Oracle EBS Financials, Supply Chain, HR/Payroll. Experience with OBIEE, WebLogic, Demantra, and Informatica. Unix/Linux and Windows system administration experience. Using Oracle Enterprise Manager for monitoring. Upgrades to Oracle 19c, cloud migration projects experience. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. Availability to work weekends, nights, and holidays.
