Summary:

Our award-winning client is seeking a Production Engineer to join their team. The Production Engineer is responsible for overseeing and optimizing plant production operations. This role requires a deep understanding of chemical engineering principles and client processes. The engineer will lead initiatives to improve safety, quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness while ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Production Management: Oversee daily production operations, including manufacturing, process control, and packaging.

Develop and implement production strategies to meet business objectives.

Process Optimization: Conduct process trials and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.

Troubleshoot process and equipment issues to minimize downtime and maximize output.

Safety and Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to all safety, health, and environmental regulations and procedures.

Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.

Foster a strong safety culture through training and awareness programs.

Project Management: Participate in capital projects, providing technical expertise and guidance.

Lead project reviews and coordinate with cross-functional teams.

Mentor and develop production teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and quality teams to achieve operational goals.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering.

4+ years of experience in chemical plant operations, preferably in the polymer industry.

Strong knowledge of OSHA and PSM regulations.

Proven track record in process improvement and problem-solving.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and process control software.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

Ability to work in a manufacturing plant environment, including exposure to noise, chemicals, and varying temperatures.

Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and climb stairs.

Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as needed.
