Process and provide timely notification and communication to employees regarding leaves and absences. Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma Special training or experience with legal requirements specifically relating to employee background checks and information Required to pass criminal background check Special Knowledge/Skills:
• Knowledge of legal requirements specifically relating to employee background checks • Required to pass criminal background check • Ability to use software to develop spreadsheets, perform data analysis, and do word processing • Knowledge of leave programs and applicable laws • Excellent public relations, organizational, communication and interpersonal skills

Major Responsibilities and Duties:
• Maintains personnel files and audits employee background checks according to specific instructions. • Reviews personnel files of all new employees on timely basis to assure that all background check documentation has been received, and proper notification has been delivered to Asst. Superintendent for Human Resources. • Maintains current background check information of all personnel. • To demonstrate an understanding of the electronic databases including knowledge of Winocular, Skyward, DPS, Employer Info Source, SBEC, and L1Identity. • Coordinate with district departments in the scheduling of prospective employees for the required fingerprinting. • Conducts background checks as necessary on all district volunteers. • Import and maintain staff unique IDs in cooperation with PEIMS department. • Maintain responsibility codes for PEIMS staff reporting. • Annual roll up of demographic and Allen ISD experience. • Process all long-term leave requests according to established guidelines for various leave (e.g., family medical leave and temporary disability leave) and provide employees with appropriate and timely notice. • Prepare correspondence, forms, and reports according to district standards and requirements.
•Assist with required data entry and preparation of benefit & long-term leave related reports. • Create & maintain spreadsheets and folders for family medical leave. • Work cooperatively with payroll department to coordinate all employee leaves and absences. • Prepares various reports and correspondence as instructed including an annual background check on all district employees. • Prepares reports for campuses on approved student teachers, volunteers, and observers. • Gathers information for special research projects. • Maintain strict confidentiality. • Performs other duties as assigned.

Provide professional communication with students, parents, community members, staff and other professionals at all times. Use proper phone etiquette at all times, speaking slowly and clearly. Take reliable messages, and route to appropriate staff. Ensure superior customer care skills are used via eye contact, facial expressions, voice inflections, body language, and an attitude of "going the extra mile" for others. Ensure all requests for information are dealt with in an appropriate timeframe. Create and maintain a welcoming, service-oriented environment toward all internal and external customers.

Salary: Pay Grade AS05, $22.33 - $26.62 hourly rate, commensurate with experience according to District salary schedule.
