Salary range $65k - $85k Commensurate with experience.Position Title: Junior QA EngineerReports To: Director of Quality AssuranceKey ResponsibilitiesTest Execution & DocumentationExecute manual and automated test cases for hardware, software, and firmware componentsDocument test results, defects, and quality metrics in accordance with established proceduresParticipate in test case design and review processesMaintain accurate test documentation and contribute to test strategy developmentSupport creation and maintenance of test procedures and quality documentationAutomation & ScriptingDevelop and maintain automated test scripts using Python and testing frameworksContribute to test automation strategy implementation across product layersSupport CI/CD pipeline testing integration and maintenanceAssist in test data management and test environment setupLearn and apply various testing tools and frameworks under guidanceCross-Functional CollaborationWork closely with engineering, product management, and operations teamsParticipate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint planning and retrospectivesSupport defect triage and resolution processesCollaborate on cross-functional testing workflows integrating HW/SW/FW validationContribute to continuous improvement initiativesLearning & DevelopmentParticipate in training programs for system test engineering across HW/SW/FW disciplinesLearn risk-based testing approaches and exploratory testing methodologiesDevelop understanding of quality standards and regulatory requirementsStay current with testing tools, methodologies, and industry best practicesSupport AI tool implementation and testing innovation initiativesQuality Assurance SupportAssist with defect management processes and quality KPI trackingSupport FMEA activities to identify and reduce field issuesParticipate in product intake and feature testing workflowsHelp maintain quality levels across Inovonics productsContribute to test coverage analysis and optimization effortsQualificationsRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related technical fieldProficiency in Python programming language with ability to write clean, maintainable code0-2 years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related technical roleBasic understanding of software development lifecycle and testing methodologiesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent written and verbal communication abilitiesDetail-oriented mindset with commitment to qualityWillingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, evolving environmentTechnical SkillsFamiliarity with testing concepts (functional, integration, regression testing)Basic understanding of version control systems (Git preferred)Knowledge of bug tracking and project management tools (Jira experience a plus)Understanding of basic networking and hardware conceptsExperience with Linux/Unix command line interface preferredMethodological KnowledgeBasic understanding of Agile/Scrum development methodologiesInterest in learning test automation frameworks and toolsKnowledge of database concepts and SQL basics preferredUnderstanding of API testing concepts and tools (Postman, REST APIs)Preferred QualificationsInternship or project experience in software testing or quality assuranceFamiliarity with IoT, embedded systems, or
