Supply Chain Specialist

Job DescriptionSeeking a Supply Chain Specialist for a contract position with an energy company located in The Woodlands, Texas. (This will be a 6-8 month assignment.) Overview: The Supply Chain Specialist is responsible for managing contracts, optimizing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance within the procurement process. This role involves contract drafting, negotiation, risk management, and strategic sourcing to support the company's operational goals. Key Responsibilities: Contract Management: Draft, review, and manage contracts from initiation to closeout, ensuring compliance with legal and company policies. Negotiation & Stakeholder Collaboration: Lead contract negotiations with internal and external parties, collaborating with teams like legal, procurement, and sales. Supplier Sourcing & Evaluation: Identify, assess, and select suppliers based on qualifications, capabilities, and compliance, managing the RFP/RFQ process. Supplier Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong supplier relationships, negotiating pricing, terms, and ensuring compliance with agreements. Cost Optimization & Risk Management: Optimize procurement costs, mitigate risks, and ensure compliance with regulations and ethical standards. Reporting & Performance Monitoring: Track and report on contract performance, supplier metrics, and key procurement activities. Qualifications: Strong contract negotiation, supplier management, and sourcing skills. Knowledge of procurement processes, risk management, and compliance regulations. Strong communication and organizational skills.
