Position Overview: The Patient Coordinator is the welcoming face of our practice and plays an essential role in ensuring a positive patient experience. This position manages front desk responsibilities, assists with scheduling and insurance, and supports smooth communication between patients and the orthodontic team.
Responsibilities:
Greet patients and families warmly upon arrival and departure. Manage check-in and check-out processes, including paperwork and updating patient records. Verify insurance eligibility, explain coverage details, and assist with pre-authorizations. Schedule, confirm, and follow up on patient appointments. Collect and record payments; post them accurately in the system. Communicate treatment and financial information clearly to patients. Collaborate with clinical and financial staff to ensure smooth office operations. Maintain a clean, organized, and professional front desk and waiting area. Handle patient information in compliance with HIPAA and office policies. Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education in healthcare or business preferred. 1-2 years of customer service experience, ideally in dental, medical, or orthodontic settings. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Proficient with computers and practice management software. Professional, friendly, and patient-focused demeanor.
