Responsibilities

  • Under the close supervision of the Senior Accounting Officer (Supervisor), perform entry level professional program accounting work related to the Claims Processing and Benefit Payment Control activities, including fraud prevention and detection, establishment of overpayments, employer and claimant assistance, and maintenance of employer and claimant accounts to ensure the integrity of the Unemployment Insurance (UI) Trust Fund.
  • Make routine monetary eligibility determinations and adjustments related to Claims Processing and Benefit Payment control workload processes.
  • Utilize a variety of databases and analyze information from Federal, State, and Departmental sources to determine appropriate actions in relation to the UI and Disability Insurance (DI) programs.
  • Be flexible and adaptable to frequent workload changes based on organizational priorities.
