Senior Accountant position — full-time, onsite in Woodbury, NY. Hours are Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 6 PM.

Base pay range: $90,000.00/yr - $95,000.00/yr. This range is provided by TBG | The Bachrach Group. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

A growing organization is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join their team. This role requires solid accounting experience and a demonstrated history of long-term employment.

Position Summary

The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a wide range of accounting tasks, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records and transactions. This role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and the ability to provide insights to management through financial analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform daily and monthly bank reconciliations
• Maintain fixed asset and prepaid expense schedules
• Analyze financial fluctuations and provide variance commentary to management
• Assist in preparing combined financial statements, including: Balance Sheets; Income Statements; Statements of Changes in Equity; Cash Flow Statements
• Prepare and post general journal entries
• Support the month-end close process
• Participate in special projects as assigned

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 4 years of accounting experience, preferably with exposure to public accounting
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel; SAP is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and analytical capabilities
• Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships
