Overview
Senior Graphic Designer: We are seeking an exceptionally talented Senior Graphic Designer to join our dynamic in-house Marketing Team. The ideal candidate will possess a rare combination of creativity, conceptual skills, technical proficiency, strategic thinking, and leadership skills. As a Senior Graphic Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity of our brand and delivering outstanding design solutions across various mediums, including digital, video, motion graphics, presentation decks and traditional print mediums.
This position demands a high level of expertise, initiative, and drive. In order to succeed in this role, candidates should possess an innate passion for design, provide innovative thinking, demonstrate an acute attention to detail, exude an inspirational attitude, a strong work ethic and a proven track record of success in top-tier design environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the conceptualization, development, and execution of creative design solutions across various platforms with a focus on digital mediums such as websites, landing pages, e-mail, mobile apps, and social media, as well as traditional motion graphics, video, print, brochures, collateral, event, and booth graphics.
- Take ownership of design projects from initial brief to final delivery, ensuring quality, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines.
- Develop and maintain brand standards, guidelines, and design systems to ensure consistency and cohesiveness across all brand touchpoints.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product, and engineering, to translate business objectives into compelling visual narratives and experiences.
- Help shape the design vision and aesthetic of a relatively new brand, ensuring consistency and alignment with brand values and objectives.
- Provide strategic direction and mentorship to all teammates, providing guidance and rationale of the design process and fostering collaboration and professional growth.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and design innovations, and incorporate them into our design practices and workflows.
- Present and defend design concepts and solutions to internal stakeholders, incorporating feedback and iterating as necessary to achieve desired outcomes.
- Contribute to the development and evolution of our brand identity and design standards, maintaining a cohesive and recognizable visual language across all digital and print touchpoints.
- Act as a brand ambassador, championing design excellence and advocating for the value of design within the organization and beyond.
Basic qualifications and skills
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related field from an accredited, not-for-profit University or College
- Minimum of 6 years of professional experience in graphic design, branding, or advertising with a strong portfolio.
- Strong design portfolio showcasing digital, print, and web applications, demonstrating branding and conceptual thinking.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Figma, and other relevant tools.
- Experience in designing for web, mobile, and social media platforms with a deep understanding of UX and UI design principles.
- Expertise in brand standards, guidelines, and design systems and traditional print capabilities (as brochures, collateral, direct mail, event graphics)
- Exceptional conceptual thinking, problem-solving abilities, and a keen eye for detail and aesthetics.
- Strong understanding of design principles, branding, typography, color theory, and layout techniques.
- Excellent communication skills to articulate design concepts to stakeholders and clients.
- Up-to-date knowledge of current design trends, technologies, and best practices.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines, with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated work ethic and professionalism. Track record of commitment to prior employers.
