Position P2S is seeking a talented Electrical Design Engineer with 2-4 years of experience to join our award-winning team. Employment Type: Full-time

Work Schedule: Hybrid - 3 days in-office, 2 days remote

Salary Range: $108,000-$125,000, based on experience

Career Level: Mid-level

Responsibilities General Responsibilities

As an Electrical Design Engineer, you will support both pre-design and design engineering phases. In pre-design, you'll review existing as-built drawings, conduct field investigations, set up multi-discipline models, coordinate design schedules, perform feasibility studies, and prepare schematic designs. During the design phase, you'll perform energy modeling using tools like EnergyPro or IES VE, develop single-line diagrams and load schedules, design lighting systems and controls, and engineer normal, emergency, and renewable power systems. You'll also conduct Arc Flash, Short Circuit, and Coordination Power System Studies to ensure safe and efficient electrical infrastructure.

Position Requirements Education & Certification

Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field

Engineer-In-Training (EIT) Certification preferred

LEED Accreditation is a plus

PE License is a plus

Membership in professional engineering associations is a plus

Experience Required

2-4 years of engineering design experience post-graduation or equivalent professional experience

Proficient in Revit and AutoCAD

Familiarity with California Building Code and National Electrical Code

Experience with Net Zero Energy/Carbon design is a plus

Project management experience is preferred

Strong command of Microsoft Office, Newforma, and engineering software tools
