The Vice President for Enrollment Strategy (VPES) serves as the chief enrollment officer, providing strategic leadership in student recruitment, enrollment management, and retention. Reporting to the president and a member of the executive leadership team, the VPES will develop and execute a data-driven enrollment strategy aligned with the University\'s mission and goals. The successful candidate will be a transformational leader who leverages new technologies, predictive analytics, and contemporary marketing strategies to optimize recruitment, retention, and student success. The VPES will oversee the division of enrollment management, including international enrollment initiatives, student financial services, enrollment systems, admission, and enrollment data and analytics. The VPES will lead a team of more than 100 staff and seven enrollment leadership professionals to meet revenue, headcount, and profile goals across undergraduate, international, and transfer populations. The VPES will collaborate with the provost, chief financial officer, and other senior leaders to guide retention efforts, market-informed program development, and effective allocation of resources in enrollment and retention initiatives. The role will involve national and international representation of Fordham in various forums and partnerships. As a position of significant impact, the VPES will perform essential functions as described below. Responsibilities

University Leadership Advise the president and the Board of Trustees on recruitment, enrollment, financial aid, and strategic positioning amid the evolving landscape for comprehensive universities. Guide and implement institutional strategic initiatives and develop strategic enrollment plans to support goals. Educate and prepare the Fordham community for changes in financial aid regulations, admission policies, demographic shifts, and market trends. Lead efforts to expand Fordham\'s national and international reach, building a diverse prospective student pipeline and enhancing reputation. Represent Fordham in presentations, conferences, partner activities, and media interactions. Monitor demographic and market shifts, and respond to policy changes affecting enrollment strategies. Assess market position and ensure strategic, productive vendor partnerships and resources. Technology Systems and Data Analytics Collaborate with IT to implement and optimize enrollment technologies (CRM, SIS) and support innovation with digital tools. Use data analytics to measure and improve recruitment and financial aid strategies, and to enhance yield. Work with campus partners to assess student success metrics and inform admission objectives for shifting demographics. Build external partnerships to expand recruitment channels; collaborate with Marketing and Communications on digital strategies. Coordinate with Athletics to support recruitment of student-athletes and partnerships with coaches. Provide counsel to deans on graduate and professional enrollment and collaborate on student engagement. Provide regular data reports to trustees, faculty, staff, and divisional partners. Collaborate with all areas of the University to support the enrollment process. Strategic Enrollment Develop and execute a strategic enrollment management plan to sustain a diverse student body and engage the campus community. Implement admission and financial aid policy changes in compliance with regulations and Fordham\'s mission. Provide strategic leadership for the Enrollment Management division, including oversight of Undergraduate Admissions, Student Financial Services, Enrollment Systems and Operations, and Enrollment Research. Identify and develop new student application sources aligned with Fordham\'s goals. Align enrollment strategies with revenue goals, optimize financial aid modeling, and forecast tuition revenue. Track key performance indicators and oversee the division\'s budget and personnel; oversee financial aid and scholarship allocation to maximize access and meet revenue targets. Support financial aid fundraising and stewardship to sustain Fordham\'s aid commitments. Supervision and Mentorship Oversee a team of more than 100 across admission and student financial services with a focus on development and retention. Foster collaboration and empower staff to lead within their teams and across the division. Promote professional development and maintain a culture of innovation and accountability. Qualifications Master\'s Degree in higher education administration, business, marketing, or related field. Minimum of 10 years of leadership in enrollment management. Vision and leadership capabilities with proven success in strategic enrollment planning, national and international recruitment, and diverse student populations. Strong knowledge of financial aid strategy and higher education market trends, with data-driven decision making. Excellent communication, collaboration, and negotiation skills; ability to influence across complex structures. Digital and data-driven enrollment and marketing expertise, including CRM and emerging technologies such as generative AI. Personal Qualities Progressive change agent with integrity and empathy; strong judgment and work ethic. Compensation Preferred Qualifications: Doctorate in higher education, business, or related field. Starting Salary: $400,000 to $450,000; salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
