Job Summary The Office of Admissions is seeking an energetic, hardworking, and professional student to serve as a Student Recruitment Specialist- Intermediate at FIU. The student will have opportunities for professional development, will become well informed on university departments, and will provide information to prospective students, parents, and influencers. Responsibilities are developed to reflect FIU policies and practices. Responsibilities Staff the Office of Admissions front desk to answer questions and provide information to prospective students. Input contact card information into the FIU database for prospective students. Assist with the management of the Admissions website and develop recruitment presentations. Assist with general office duties including travel, mail, and responding to correspondence. Maintain and update an inventory list of materials and supplies for admissions-related events. Support supervisors with annual Admissions events on and off campus. Remain up to date on FIU policies and practices to accurately inform prospective students about University details. Complete training related to Admissions/Enrollment functions (examples include reception work, and instant messaging with students via Unibuddy, among others). Perform other related duties as required or as directed. Duties may be added that are logically related to the position.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications Requires prior completion of FIU Service Excellence training or completion within first 30 days. Customer service knowledge. Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Ability to take direction and work independently as needed. Consistent attendance and punctuality is required. Ability to maintain confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive information.
Desired Qualifications Experience working in a customer service environment. Experience with university admissions process. Experience with PowerPoint and Canva.
