Job Summary
The Senior Consultant will be responsible for working on change management solutions and communications efforts across Total Rewards and HR Operations. This role will be instrumental in driving adoption of key initiatives, enhancing employee experience, encouraging employee engagement, and ensuring alignment with enterprise goals. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in change strategy, stakeholder engagement, project management, and communications planning—particularly within the context of benefits, compensation, retirement, and HR systems. Key Responsibilities
Design and execute comprehensive and proactive change management strategies for Total Rewards initiatives (e.g., benefit plan redesign, compliance requirements, vendor transitions and implementations, new benefit offerings). Develop multi-channel communications that support employee understanding and engagement with HR programs and provide leaders with clear communications that allow them to carry messages throughout the organization Create executive-ready presentations and reports to share communication timelines and change management plans for major initiatives. Own and manage communication timelines across multiple initiatives, providing adequate time to funnel through all necessary review channels, ensuring deliverables are completed on schedule and aligned with broader HR milestones. Coordinate with subject matter experts to track dependencies, flag risks, and adjust communication plans proactively. Maintain a master calendar of communications and change activities, ensuring visibility and accountability across stakeholders. Serve as a subject matter expert in change management methodologies, communications best practices, and employee experience design. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree In addition to bachelor's degree, six (6) years minimum of related experience In lieu of bachelor's degree, HSD & eight (8) years minimum of related experience Desired Qualifications
Minimum six (6) years of experience in change management and strategic communications, preferably in HR or Total Rewards. Proven success leading change initiatives in complex, matrixed environments. Bachelor's degree in HR, Communications, Organizational Development, or related field. Strong writing, storytelling, and presentation skills. Experience with ERISA, HIPAA, SECURE 2.0, and other relevant legislation is a plus. Change management certification (e.g., Prosci, CCMP) preferred. Strategic thinker with a bias for action and results. Skilled at navigating ambiguity and influencing across levels. Collaborative, resourceful, and resilient. Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities. Working Conditions
Hybrid mobility classification - work will be performed from both remote and onsite locations after the onboarding period. However, hybrid employees should live within a reasonable commute to Duke Energy Plaza. 3 days onsite (Mon, Tue & flex day) Travel Requirements
