Director of Operations and Enrollment (Enrollment Management Leader)

Base pay range: $53,185.60/yr - $87,755.20/yr INDIANA UNIVERSITY (IU) GRADUATE SCHOOL The Indiana University Graduate School serves the IU Indianapolis campus community by advocating for all aspects of graduate education. Responsibilities

Provides the highest level of operational leadership on graduate enrollment management initiatives, policies, and procedures for the Graduate School. Coordinates Graduate School resources and staff to support graduate and professional student education. Responsible for the development and implementation of core operations foundational to graduate and professional programs, and coordinates training across campus focused on enrollment and student degree completion. Ensures Graduate School processes and systems are aligned with Registrar policies and IU Board of Trustees regulations, and comply with campus, federal, and international policies and laws. Serves as a CO-institutional leader and campus representative in the process of sunsetting the current university graduate/professional application portal, WebAdMIT, and implementing the new IU system-wide application and CRM portal, SLATE. Works collaboratively with multiple offices and campuses on these initiatives. Works collaboratively with representatives of academic schools, the Office of the Registrar, the Office of Online Education, and the Office of International Affairs to ensure the development of unique and innovative programs and student cohorts. Provides budgetary recommendations and proposals based on resource needs and ensures cost containment. This includes tracking costs for application portals and consultants, campus graduate recruitment efforts and events, and oversight of the Graduate School budget. Takes lead role in office communication with campus and external constituents, as well as operational oversight regarding the graduate portion of campus and university bulletins. Responsible for recruitment and staffing of the Graduate School in conjunction with the Vice Provost/Dean for Graduate Education. General Responsibilities

Provides highest level of operational leadership and coordination of assigned staff members to define enrollment management methodologies and standards; provides direction and guidance on high priority enrollment management projects/initiatives. Establishes short-term business plans and long-term operational objectives, including managing project timelines/deliverables and developing resource plans for multi-project/multiphase enrollment management initiatives. Conducts a variety of personnel actions to include hiring, promotion, performance management, and dismissal. Manages high level assignments and allocation of enrollment management resources, including negotiating and coordinating initiatives that involve staff in other departments/areas/teams; may coordinate large-scale enrollment management projects with a wide audience in support of academic initiatives. Makes budgetary recommendations/proposals based on resource needs and ensures cost containment. Researches and stays up-to-date on new industry enrollment management standards, technologies, policies, and procedures; responsible for the implementation of new protocols/procedures to address business needs. Works collaboratively with other enrollment management leaders across departments in recommending standards, best practices, and related policies/procedures. Prepares management reports and summaries for senior administration, executive, steering and advisory committees; acts as advisor to executive committees; serves on various university committees, communities of practice, and task forces related to enrollment management. Required Bachelor's degree in business, public policy, or related field Preferred Master's degree Required 4 years of experience in admissions, enrollment management, higher education student affairs, or related field Required 1 year of management experience in relevant field Skills

The position involves sedentary work as well as periods of time moving around an office environment and the campus.
