Responsibilities

Lead process improvement efforts for US Bakeries over the next 6 months, focusing on absenteeism analysis and implementation of the absenteeism control strategy.

Analyze and map current absenteeism management processes, including roles, responsibilities, and frequencies, with a focus on the US. Benchmark against Canada as needed.

Clarify and standardize classifications for planned and unplanned absences across North America, ensuring alignment with global standards.

Identify and communicate opportunities for improvement, focusing on unexcused absences, FMLA, workers' compensation, and sick days. Create flowcharts to address these issues.

Lead project governance, implement changes, manage change, and provide training. Report weekly on completed actions and promote a zero loss mindset.

Establish and maintain strong governance to review and control project performance, focusing on continuous improvement.

Create procedures, SOPs, and training materials to support process improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience

Experience managing absenteeism in the US, including knowledge of FMLA, sick days, short-term and long-term disability, and workers' compensation.

Strong communication, coaching, and leadership skills in a team environment.

Proficiency in analytics and Excel.

Project management and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with diverse teams.

Familiarity with time and attendance systems like Kronos and Infor.
