Overview
Job Summary: The Programmer Analyst is responsible for designing, implementing, development and maintaining integration solutions across our enterprise application portfolio. Participates and may coordinate workflow-related issues and design, build and test interfaces between disparate systems, and support production solutions. Facilitates defining and documenting requirements using structured analysis methods and coordinates data analysis and design training sessions, as needed. Performs other duties as needed. Education and Experience
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Computer Science or related field required, or an additional seven years of related experience in health care or information technology in lieu of degree. Minimum one year of experience required; preferably in a healthcare related field.
Knowledge and Skills
Technical knowledge of system development life cycle, database management and experience with development tools (PeopleTools, Application Designer, PeopleCode API, Integration Broker; JavaScript, CSS, HTML, XSL, WebLogic, Apache, Tuxedo). Experience with Interface Engine development tools (Cloverleaf, Sybase e*Biz Impact, OpenLink, OpenEngine, WebSphere, Microsoft EventHUB/Biztalk) preferred. Experience in programming languages (C#, Python, Java, JavaScript, Visual Basic) preferred. Experience with applications (Sun Products, Quovodax, Neon), application development, SQL-based database systems, writing SQL queries preferred. Knowledge in clinical or business/revenue cycle workflow in healthcare. Able to read, write, speak English with professional quality; operate computer and software programs needed for the position (e.g., Microsoft Suite). Strong knowledge of project management software: MS Project, Access, and other project management tools. Ability to relate and communicate positively with others; work calmly; collaborate; accept direction; and elicit support from other departments, vendors, and customers. Excellent analytic and documentation skills; ability to organize technical work, plan, problem solve, analyze data, and present findings; manage time and objectives effectively. Think critically; work independently; perform basic math and statistical functions; compose written material; pay attention to detail. Able to distinguish colors; hear and see adequately for workplace tasks.
Licensures and Certifications
As a requirement of this position you must complete LLUH Proficiency within the designated application(s) and/or module(s) you are hired into. Must receive a cumulative passing score on associated projects and exams and pass within three attempts; proficiency must be achieved within the initial 90-day probationary period. Other similar certification requirements may apply and will be discussed during application and hiring process.
