The TEACCH Autism Program is seeking a highly organized and proactive Executive Assistant to provide comprehensive executive-level support to the Executive Director. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Executive Directors office and supporting the mission of the TEACCH Program. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to a program that supports individuals with autism and their families across North Carolina. Primary Responsibilities Manage the Executive Directors calendar, including scheduling meetings, coordinating appointments, and prioritizing requests. Prepare and edit correspondence, reports, and presentations with a high level of accuracy and professionalism. Serve as a liaison between the Executive Director and internal/external stakeholders, including university departments and public partners. Coordinate travel arrangements and process related documentation using Concur. Communicate on behalf of the Executive Director with discretion, sound judgment, and a high degree of confidentiality. Respond to inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner, often acting as a representative of the Executive Director. Support the flow of information across the TEACCH team by relaying updates, decisions, and directives.
Minimum Education And Experience Requirements
High school diploma or equivalency and three years of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or Associates degree in secretarial science, business administration, or a related discipline and one year of progressively responsible administrative/office management experience; or Bachelors degree, preferably in business administration or a related discipline; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions. Required Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience
Demonstrated ability to manage complex schedules and competing priorities. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proven experience handling confidential information with discretion. Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment. Ability to understand and uphold the confidentiality of highly sensitive information, professional demeanor, and strong commitment to quality in all activities.
Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, And Experience
