Building Automation Systems Project Manager

Responsibilities Coordinate and deliver multiple, simultaneous building automation projects of varying complexity to contribute to safer environments in critical institutions such as hospitals, universities, and industrial facilities. Provide fiscal and managerial oversight across all project facets to ensure client satisfaction, effective resource allocation, and safe, timely completion. Evaluate project specifications, drawings, and related documents to understand project intentions and establish comprehensive project schedules in coordination with the team, identifying installation timelines. Oversee procurement of supplies and materials, participate in project cost reviews to ensure financial efficiency. Assist the Operations Manager in contracting subcontractors, coordinating activities to align with project scope, schedules, and fiscal requirements while ensuring safety compliance. Conduct orientations for project technicians, providing all necessary project documentation such as scope of work, technical drawings, project contacts, and application-engineered diagrams. Track project resources and progress, document events impacting schedule/scope/efficiency, and identify opportunities for change orders. Manage project-specific billing coordination with the accounting team and Operations Manager, schedule commissioning resources, and ensure timely close-out documentation. Manage projects across verticals including offices, pharmaceuticals, life sciences, hospitals, and higher education.

Qualifications Basic Qualifications:

High School Diploma or state-recognized GED On-the-job experience with project management in the HVAC controls industry Ability to read and understand MEP drawings and specifications, and electrical, network, and control wiring diagrams; familiarity with Ethernet, Modbus, and BACnet Experience with Microsoft Office and Microsoft Project Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred 5+ years of project management experience in the HVAC controls industry Experience in construction, particularly low voltage or industrial construction
